The Lived Experience Apraxia Training brings together families\, speech-language pathologists\, students\, educators\, advocates\, and community members for meaningful learning and connection in an inclusive environment. \nHosted at the beautiful Bjorem & Bolles Training Center\, this in-person event offers practical strategies\, lived experience insights\, and opportunities to build stronger partnerships in supporting individuals with CAS. \nEvent Schedule:\nFriday\, October 23\, 2026\n3:00 PM – 5:30 PMLaura Smith: Partnering with Parents in Treating CASLearn how collaborative\, family-centered support can strengthen outcomes for children with childhood apraxia of speech. \nSaturday\, October 24\, 2026\n10:00 AM – 4:00 PMJordan LeVan: Lived Experience Apraxia TrainingA powerful training centered on lived experience\, neurodiversity-affirming practices\, communication access\, advocacy\, inclusion\, and understanding CAS beyond the textbook perspective. \nWho Should Attend?\nThis training is open to everyone — including: \n\nSpeech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)\nCFs and graduate students\nParents and caregivers\nEducators and school staff\nAdvocates\nIndividuals with CAS and disabilities\nAnyone passionate about communication and inclusion\n\nSLPs attending this event may receive Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or ASHA CEUs. \nEvent Details\n\nLimited to 22 attendees for a more personal and interactive experience\nCatered breakfast and snacks included\nCatered lunch from Chipotle Mexican Grill\n\nRegistration\n\nEarly Bird Registration: $99 (available for the first month)\nRegular Registration: $199\nCF & Student Rate: $149(CFs and students also receive the $99 early bird rate during the early registration period.)\n\nWe cannot wait to bring together professionals\, families\, and advocates for a joyful weekend of learning\, connection\, and community centered around childhood apraxia of speech.
